Ramsay Annual Parade of Garage Sales
May 1, 2011
RAMSAY'S ANNUAL GARAGE SALE PARADE IS COMING UP ON MAY 1ST
Time is running out to get yourself registered in this year's Annual Ramsay Parade of Garage Sales. May 1st is fast approaching. Hopefully the warm weather will stick around so you can uncover those treasures buried in the snow banks. And your garage is not going to clean itself, neither is the attic, or the basement. Might as well spend an afternoon now cleaning it up and then turn it into cash on May 1st. Somebody really wants that stuff you have been tripping over all year, or maybe even longer. Unload for some cold hard cash, and then take that and spend it celebrating your new found garage floor. To register, contact Mike at mloston@shaw.ca or call at 403-262-2281. You must be registered by April 20th to ensure inclusion on the map and to receive a garage sale kit
No Guff Vegetable Gardening - by Donna Balzer
March 15, 2011
7pm-9pm
The Ramsay Garden Presents: No Guff Vegetable Gardening - by Donna Balzer

Who knew vegetable gardening could be so much fun? Join this coach’s corner for new and experienced vegetable gardeners alike, where garden coach Balzer lays it on the table: there isn’t only one right way to grow vegetables. This talk follows Balzer and Biggs' No Guff Vegetable Gardening book: soils, planning, growing, garden environment, pests and harvest—but it is not just about pretty pictures. No Guff brings a mindset for success in the vegetable garden. It’s all about common-sense approaches in the vegetable garden.

Balzer will send you home with her take on how to think about important questions in any garden big or small. Enjoy the humour as the authors share illustrations and ideas from the book. No Guff, Lots of Fun.
