Multi-Sport Recreational Project

Location of Proposed Project: 2101 Ramsay Street SE (top of Scotsman’s Hill)
Age Range of Designated User Group: All ages
Proposed Project Description: Development and expansion of the Ramsay rink area to a multi-sport outdoor facility.
Phase One: Roof repairs, new rink slab, refrigeration, boards, ice re-surfacer and security lighting.
Phase Two: Refrigerated pleasure skating rink and skating pathway.
Phase Three: New rink service/change building and parking improvements.

RAMSAY GIRL'S FASTBALL - 1957-66

Dawn (Cumiford) Ferguson and her sister Edie (Cumiford) Despas are applying for induction into the Alberta Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame for the Ramsay Girls Fastball team that played between 1957 and 1966. They have already gathered together extensive data about the Ramsay team, including photographs, statistics and history. Their first submission was unsuccessful, but they will keep trying and keep their fingers crossed. It can take up to 8 years to be accepted.

Dawn and Edie are still trying to track down some of the players. Here is the list of all the girls and coaches that played between 1957 and 1966. If you can help them out, please call Dawn at 291-0886 (w) or 285-4320 (h).
